Enter to Win!

By Angela Duncan April 20, 2018

The Ruskin Tomato Festival will consist of American foods, arts and crafts, dance teams, cook- off contests, activities for children, tomato festival queen pageant and musical artists showcasing great entertainment for the SouthShore community from different musical genres such as Jazz, Country, Rock, and Latin. This is in celebration of the agricultural history and tomato season in our SouthShore community. Proceeds raised will go to help develop and improve the SouthShore community.

The Tomato Festival Beauty Pageant, begins at 11:30 a.m., and will crown winners in five age groups including infant to four years, 5-12, 13-19, 20-40 and a 41 plus group.

There will be several food vendors serving plenty of hot food and cold beer, but the star of the menu will be the tomato sandwiches. The festival also will feature several dessert vendors.

No festival would be complete without plenty of fun games for the kids. The KidZone has some wonderful activities such as potato sack races, ring toss games, tomato stacking, and a tomato bean bag toss, all of which award prizes for the winners.

Admission is $5 per person (Kids 12 and under are FREE). There is a $2 per car entry fee to the park.

Macaroni Kid Apollo Beach - Ruskin - Wimauma will have a booth and will be handing out swag bags with fabulous swag from local businesses! So stop by before the are gone as supplies are limited! We will also have a craft for the kids... hope to see you there!
