CALLING ALL SEMINOLES AND GREEN WAVES FANS!

The Florida State University Seminoles and Tulane Green Wave men’s basketball teams will square off in Tampa’s AMALIE Arena on Sunday, December 10, 2017 as part of the Heritage Insurance
Classic, presented by Heritage Insurance. The teams will tip off at 12:00 PM and the game will be broadcast on ESPNU.


ABOUT FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY MEN’S BASKETBALL
The 2017-18 Florida State men’s basketball team earned a No. 3 seed in the 2017 NCAA Tournament and is led by head coach Leonard Hamilton, the two-time ACC Coach of the Year and the eighth winningest coach in ACC history. This season the Seminoles return with a strong group of players that helped them to a 26-9 overall record; 12-6 record in ACC play and a faultless 18-0 record at home in the 2016-17 season. Forward Terance Mann returns as the Seminoles’ leading scorer (8.4 ppg) and rebounder (4.5 rpg) after starting 34 of 35 games as a sophomore. Mann has played in 69 games during the first two seasons of his career. Sophomores CJ Walker and Trent Forrest, along with junior college transfers Braian AngolaRodas and PJ Savoy will anchor the Seminoles’ backcourt while 7-4 center Christ Koumadje patrols the paint. The Seminoles’ recruiting class – headlined by McDonald’s All-American M.J. Walker – is once again one of
the top groups of newcomers in the ACC. Joining Walker is 7-0 newcomer Ike Oblige, 6-8 power forward Raquan Gray, guard Anthony Polite and forward Wyatt Wilkes.


ABOUT TULANE UNIVERSITY MEN’S BASKETBALL 

The Tulane Green Wave will have five games televised on ESPNU, one of which being this match up with Florida State University Seminoles. The Green Wave and Seminoles last went head-to-head on December 5, 1995, when Tulane claimed a 78-77 home victory. December's matchup will be the 36th all-time between the programs.
The Green Wave returns three starters and its top two scorers from last season, including 2017 American Conference Most Improved Player of the Year, Cameron Reynolds, who averaged 17.0 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. Rising junior Melvin Frazier averaged 11.5 points and led the league in steals per game, while rising sophomore Ray Ona Embo was a two-time conference freshman of the week choice during his debut campaign.
